Derek doesn't say anything about being back from the tunnels. Not because he's being secretive - not really, anyway - but mainly because he's reasonably sure that there wasn't anyone who noticed he was gone. He's already read the journal entries made while he was gone and determined that both Alex and Sollux are all right. Eventually he'll want to meet up with Shepard and Sollux, but right now, there's been more pressing things on his mind.]
There's waffles in the kitchen if anyone wants some.
[There'd originally been a lot more than there are now, but that was before Chloe and Derek had gone through them. Still, there's more than enough left for a number of people. Chloe'd gone to bed, and Derek probably won't be able to eat all of what's left. And she'd suggested he'd leave a note to let people know they were free for taking.]
And bacon.
[There's a brief pause filled with a faint chewing noise.]
Maybe.
